We noted champagne and red wine on our request card and were not restocked as needed. All of that being said, it was still a superb vacation and we will be back! The wait staff, from the bartenders to the waiters to the rose water towel service on the beach, all were FABULOUS!!!! :) This may seem lengthy, but i wanna touch each point. Over 2 hours each way, and stopping at every resort in between to pick/drop off vacationers. There was no pattern to when the power would go out. There is not a lot of space to just walk and enjoy the beach.-There is currently construction going on and it can be a nuisance if you are trying to relax -There are cats everywhere. And last, is jasper's piano bar spent our last 2 nights there. Some would even break out in a quick dance or song with me!I liked this the most with a nice ocean view, it was furthest from the resort and to me didn't get enough attention from the vacationers. And lastly the late night burgers and wraps hit the spot after drinking. We were pleased to find a selection of water sports equipment to use but the strong winds prohibited us from using them on most days.-Young people if you are looking to party, this is not the resort for you. We were taken to our room immediately and settled in.
The Platinum (contemporary Carribean) is the only restaurant that requests slacks and shoes for men.The "Beach Party" on another evening provided interesting local food followed by entertaining dancers, fire eater and contortionist. I would recommend checking with the front desk about wearing a swim suit to the buffet, however the beach bar and grill Aquamarine does allow you to dine in your beachwear. Yes, we wore shorts, swimsuits, flipflops, t-shirts, etc.A dining under the stars evening included some very talented bands and a saxophone player who sounded like Kenny G. All in all, this was a lovely celebration with my family of my 70th birthday! We put our bathing suits with a cover up on before we went down to breakfast and stayed in them until we got ready for dinner. My husband wore shorts, usually a shirt with a collar and sandels to dinner. The only time there's a dress code is if you go to their nicer restaurant, Platinum.Dockers to the white glove restaurant which we did not care for. That has a casual dress code, but men must wear collared shirts and shoes.Casual for most places, But at night 2 restaurants required a little dressier. Dinner is not offerred at the Coral Lounge (the buffet).
